Hotstar Specials ‘Land of Football’ – Streaming on JioHotstar from July 10

The teaser of Hotstar Specials ‘Land of Football’, which celebrates Kerala’s football culture, passion, and rich legacy, has been released. Presented in association with Kerala Tourism, it begins streaming on JioHotstar from July 10.

Land of Football explores the idea that Kerala is a land where football is more than just a sport – it is a way of life. Just as Kerala’s breathtaking natural beauty captivates visitors from around the world, the state’s unwavering love for the beautiful game is equally remarkable. Ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Malayalis wearing jerseys of different national teams filled the streets of Doha, showcasing their passion for football. While some media outlets incorrectly labeled them as ‘Fake Fans’, Land of Football reminds viewers that this was, in fact, a genuine celebration of the sport and a reflection of Kerala’s deep-rooted football culture.

Produced by Waseem Haider and Anamay Prakash under the banner of Brown Crew Productions, Land of Football is directed by Haseef Hakeem. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Jushna Shaheen. The project is cinematographed by Nanda Kishore and Darshan, edited by Tamjee Taha, with music composed by Jai Unnithan.
