Asianet Announces Its New Fiction Series – Kattathe Kilikoodu

Asianet is set to present its latest family drama Kattathe Kilikoodu, a heartwarming story that reflects the power of resilience, relationships, and the courage to redefine one’s own life.

Kattathe Kilikoodu follows the journey of Nidhi, a bright and ambitious young woman who has earned top university honors and a gold medal in architecture. Despite her dreams of pursuing higher studies abroad, her wealthy father pressures her to settle down in marriage. Her fiancé, however, expects her to conform to the role of a traditional housewife—something Nidhi firmly opposes.

On the other side is Sudheesh, a humble driver who lives with his father Bhaskaran—a former lorry driver battling alcoholism—and his three brothers: Subhash, a mason; Hareesh, a mechanic; and Nikesh, a student. The family lives in isolation, with society often distancing itself from their home, which has been left neglected and entangled in legal disputes.

Circumstances lead Nidhi and Sudheesh to cross paths. Understanding her emotional turmoil, Sudheesh’s empathy grows into affection. In a moment of courage and kindness, he marries Nidhi to protect her from being forced into a life she does not want.

Nidhi’s arrival reshapes the lives of Sudheesh and his brothers—bringing warmth, unity, dignity, and renewed hope to a household long deprived of it. Her presence becomes a turning point, challenging societal norms and redefining relationships built on mutual respect and trust.
